→ Details of the Event:

I was out hunting in late November and I had set up my ground blind near oil leases in a stand of pine and poplar trees near a water hole. About an hour before sunset I heard some strange “knocking” noises coming from in front of me through the bush. Thought it was some sort of woodpecker or even a raven at first. However, as it turns out, it only could have been woodknocking as the sounds were rhythmic and had tone. They were loud and obvious. No bird could have made those noises. I wanted to go check for tracks but I was too freaked out…

Later that evening me and my hunting partner turned in for the night. At about 3:30 A.M. something slapped the side of the travel trailer hard enough to wake the both of us up and slightly shake the trailer. We thought it was a bird because we figured bears may already be hibernating and we found no tracks in the morning. I’m convinced it was something else for sure…
